Physiatrist, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Our client, The London Spine Centre is a multidisciplinary center of excellence providing patient consultations and diagnostic assessments, including EMG/NCS and interventional spinal and MSK procedures. With an experienced group of academic spine surgeons, physiatrists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists, they are mandated to treat spinal conditions in an outpatient setting with a strong return to work/functional activity focus.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Terms of employment and wages: This position is a permanent, full-time, fee-for-service position.
Job duties: Your primary role would be providing patient consultations, participating in case conferences, working with physiotherapy, rehabilitation and surgical staff to provide a return to work/functional activity care plan.
Location: The clinic is located at 1055 Fanshawe Park Rd W, London, ON N6G 0W7.
Benefits: The physician can obtain benefits through professional organizations, such as the OMA or MD Financial, at their own discretion. Physicians will benefit from state of the art facility; a high volume center with approximately 500-600 unique referrals per month
Education and experience: Medical Degree with specialist training in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Preference will be given to candidates who have or are eligible for a certificate with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Ultrasound/fluoroscopic guided injection facilities are on site and image-guided injection skills and EMG/NCS experience are an asset.
US Board Certified Physician are eligible for independent license in Ontario
Supervision is available for IMG candidates.
Skills required: Specialist training in physical medicine or rehabilitation; ability to work effectively, independently and in a multidisciplinary team; English written and verbal communication skills.
