Clinically, this position will be primarily focused on servicing the inpatient population at the FMC, AJCCCC, and SHC. Additional responsibilities will extend to High River as well as the Urgent Care Centres located in Airdrie, Cochrane, and Okotoks. The candidate will serve as a Diagnostic Neuroradiologist, addressing critical patient needs across these facilities. This role will include evening coverage for EFW AHS sites, as well as overnight and weekend Neuro call.Because this position is based out of the FMC and SHC primarily, there would be a heavy focus on teaching for both residents and fellows. Instruction will encompass not only technical skills related to imaging and diagnostics but also the leadership and organizational skills necessary to function effectively as a medical authority within a busy DI department.As part of an academic radiology team, we recognizing the importance of advancing medical knowledge and actively participating in research initiatives. This position is designed to foster collaborative relationships that enhance both educational and research efforts, promoting a culture of inquiry and innovation within the department.
Qualifications:
- The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. FRCPC (Diagnostic Radiology), and Neuroradiology Fellowship Training.
- Must read, write and speak English.
- All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply however; Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
