The Department of Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Niagara Health seeks a motivated surgeon with a passion for providing the highest quality care to join the Department at the St. Catharines General (SCG) site. The selected candidate will have a proven track record of innovation and for providing exemplary patient care. Moreover, candidates will be expected to show evidence of interpersonal and collaborative skills and a commitment to medical training at all levels.

We provide a full range of acute care hospital services to the 450,000 residents across the Niagara region, and we are one of the few hospitals in Ontario that own and operate a long-term care facility. 

Momentum continues with the South Niagara Hospital project. After the groundbreaking ceremony in July 2023, our partners EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare have started construction on the 1.3-million-square-foot hospital. This state-of-the-art facility will take approximately five years to build, with opening planned for summer 2028.

Launched in May 2023, the Niagara Health Knowledge Institute (NHKI) is on a mission to lead community hospital-based research in Canada and advance healthcare and health service delivery through research, quality improvement and education. The NHKI will transform healthcare in Niagara through knowledge generation and mobilization, and solidify Niagara Health’s position as a national leader in research at community hospitals.
