Description of Organization: 

We are a downtown 19-bed acute palliative care unit with an inpatient consult service.
We work on an excellent and collaborative interprofessional team including nursing, physio/OT, social work, pharmacy, spiritual care, chiropody etc.

Job description:

• We are seeking coverage for summer vacations for the three regular MDs.
• The days worked are negotiable but are mostly 5 half days a week (where you will reliably leave before lunch).
• There will mostly be a regular palliative MD also on service with you.
• The weekend on call (1 /4 but negotiable) is FFS and not covered by the periderm (APP) rate.
• Weekday call is 1/2 but manageable, home call, and mostly managed by phone. FFS if you come in (rare).

Required qualifications:

• CPSO Family or Palliative Care Internal Medicine Independent practice license plus in good standing with CCFP or RCPSC.
• Palliative Care experience and/or additional training is preferred.
• New grads with palliative care experience or fellowship welcome.

Hourly/half-day rate: $600/half day (approximate) $1200 per diem (approximate)
