Nursing Care Unit:

Job Description:

-complete daily rounds on general medicine patients

-be available by phone from 0800-2200.

-be responsible for calls from the Long Term Care Department from 2000 until 0700 hours (infrequent).

You will have the support of:

-RNs, RPNs, PSW’s

-Dietitian

-Discharge planner

-Social worker

-Pharmacist

-Respiratory Therapist

-Physiotherapist

Pay Structure: 

$595.05 - HOCC

$254.95 - Hospital funded Daily stipend

$150.00 - Temporary incentive top up

$250.00 - ED Back Up Day (Elective)

$250.00 - ED Back Up Night (Elective)

Total: $1,500.00 daily stipend available

+All OHIP billings (traditionally between $1000-$1300) per day)

+ Second On-Call rate of $202.50/hour or portion thereof if called in for backup

=Potential of $2800++ per day

ED Back-Up (optional for this assignment): 

You are the physician on call in the event that:

-the ED becomes overly busy

-the ED physician has to leave on a transfer with a critically ill patient

-hourly EDAFA pay for time spent working in the ED

-$500/24-hour

Medical Records: Meditech Expanse 

Travel and accommodation expenses: 

-daily $353.67 honorarium for every approved work and travel day

-accommodations and travel expenses through Health Force Ontario’s Northern Specialist Locum Program (NSLP).
