Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital are jointly recruiting for a full time Plastic Surgeon to fill a vacancy in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital are two separately governed hospitals that function as an integrated system with well-defined and complementary clinical programs to serve both the local community and the region. Each hospital has acute care ER with patient volumes reaching approximately 55,000 visits/annum. St. Mary’s General Hospital is a Regional Cardiac Care Centre and a Centre of Excellence for Respiratory and Thoracic Care. Grand River Hospital hosts several regional programs including the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Hepatobiliary Surgical Programme, and stroke, renal and mental health programmes. We offer round-the-clock services in orthopedics, urology, gynecology, cancer, plastic, and reconstructive and emergency surgery as well as a wide variety of general surgeries. Our surgeons perform approximately 10,000 procedures each year.

The candidate must be eligible for independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and hold certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery. The hospitals are seeking candidates with fellowship in hand surgery. Proficiency in craniofacial surgery would be an asset.
