Job Title: Part-Time Family Physician
Location: 15 Glenforest Rd., Toronto Ontario M4N 1Z7
Employment Type: Part-Time (e.g., 2-3 days per week, specific hours negotiable)
Compensation: Competitive, based on a fee-for-service (FFS) or Family Health Group (FHG)/capitation split arrangement
Reports To: Clinic Manager/Medical Director

FROM Toronto Pain Relief Clinic is a well-established, modern multidisciplinary medicine clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, continuous, and comprehensive healthcare to a diverse patient population across all ages. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, interdisciplinary team model with extensive administrative and clinical support staff, including nurses, specialists, and billing administrators, to allow physicians to focus on patient care. Our facility is fully equipped with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (e.g. Accuro) and on-site services such as labs and pharmacies.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Family Physician to join our team and provide excellent primary medical care. The successful candidate will manage a roster of patients, diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, and promote preventative care and health education. This role requires a commitment to patient advocacy, confidentiality, and working effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide continuous and comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors.
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct patient examinations, take detailed medical histories, and order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, X-rays) to evaluate patient health.
- Treatment & Management: Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, administer vaccinations, and monitor patient progress.
- Preventative Care & Education: Advise patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, hygiene), and provide necessary screenings.
- Care Coordination: Refer patients to medical specialists or other healthcare providers when necessary and coordinate care across the medical neighborhood.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records of all patient encounters using the clinic's EMR system, adhering to all privacy and confidentiality laws.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in the interdisciplinary team, collaborating with nurses, social workers, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in a rotating, shared after-hours on-call schedule with other clinic physicians, if applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited medical school.
- Successful completion of residency training in Family Medicine.
- Certification in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), od standing).
- Evidence of malpractice insurance through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- Experience working in a primary care or community health centre setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.
