 Opportunity

à Sault Area Hospital (SAH), a 293 bed facility opened in 2011, is seeking General, Forensic, Geriatric and Child Psychiatrists to join our team.  Psychiatrists cover inpatients, call and outpatient clinic. 

à Affiliation with NOSM University provides the opportunity to teach residents and medical students.  Faculty appointments and research are encouraged and supported by the Sault Ste. Marie Academic Medical Association (SSM AMA)

License &  Eligibility

à Candidates must be fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RSCPC) or exam eligible and hold or be eligible for an independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).  Additional training in Geriatric or Forensic Psychiatry is an asset.

Remuneration

à Remuneration is attractive and competitive.  Call stipends are available with shared call.

Locum Opportunity

à SAH is in need of ongoing locum support to cover Geriatric, General and Child Psychiatry. Candidates must hold an independent practice license and be a fellow of RCPSC. Generous compensation is provided by both Ontario Health Northern Specialist Locum Program (OH NSLP) and hospital on call funding. Expenses are reimbursed.
