Brightshores Health System

Brightshores Health System operates six hospitals in the Grey-Bruce region serving a population of approximately 170,000. Our vision is to offer quality health care close to home.

Our hospital in Southampton is located on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron in Bruce County and houses a range of ambulatory, in-patient, day surgery and emergency services.  Our Level 2 regional referral centre is located only 30 minutes away in Owen Sound, and offers a full range of specialty services including complex surgeries, total joint replacements, cancer surgeries, MRI and CT scans. 

Team

Supported by a dedicated team of family physicians, we plan to strengthen support

for our Emergency Department with additional Full-Time and Part-Time Emergency

Medicine Physicians on a permanent or locum basis.

Local back-up physician scheduled daily. 

Service Delivery

Our Emergency Department is newly renovated with excellent workflow and space.

We offer flexible shifts (days/nights); opportunity to split shifts plus 8 hours shifts scheduled through the summer.

Lab, imaging on-site, with 20 bed inpatient unit.

We have excellent specialty back-up at our Level 2 regional referral centre in Owen Sound and comprehensive diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

Interested candidates should be CCFP or CCFP (EM) designated.

Independent license to practice in Ontario.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate (Alternate Funding Agreement) plus percentage of shadow billings.
