Job Description
The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Markham Stouffville Hospital, is currently recruiting a fourth member to its team. The successful candidate will be a fully contributing member of the Division, working with a strong, supportive and collegial group committed to providing high quality and comprehensive urological services in a community hospital setting. Expertise/skills in either Pediatric Urology or Reconstructive Urology are strongly preferred.
The successful candidate would:
● Attend to adult urological needs in a community hospital setting
● Help grow services in either Pediatric or Reconstructive Urology
● Have access to hospital resources including operating room, outpatient surgical procedure suites, cystoscopy and the potential for access to hospital-based clinic time
● Be expected to participate in the on‐call coverage rotation (1:4)
● Participate in regular and mutual OR assisting
● Attend departmental and divisional meetings as required
Qualifications/Experience:
● License to practice independently in Ontario from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO);
● Urology certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
