The West Coast General Hospital is seeking part-time and full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians.

West Coast General Hospital, constructed in 2001, with 52 acute care beds and a 3-bed ICU, is a modern facility that incorporates a unique and inviting design complete with an indoor atrium.

Services include 24-hour emergency room, ambulatory care, acute medical/surgical and psychiatry services, cardio pulmonary, diabetes education, laboratory, medical imaging (CT scanner), nutrition counseling, pharmacy, occupational therapy, SLP, social work and physiotherapy services. Clinical specialists include anesthesiology, general surgery, urology, geriatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics and radiology complete with PACs imaging system.

The successful candidate would have the option of applying to cover a small number of shifts at our regional Emergency Department in Nanaimo.

Academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) postgraduate programs and the Island Medical School undergraduate programs is available.
