The Medical Clinic, located on beautiful Quadra Island, which is a 10-minute ferry crossing from Campbell River. The Medical Clinic acts as a hub for access to Primary Care services, including being part of the local Primary care network. Currently phlebotomy, MHSU clinician and PCN RSW support Quadra Island patients from this space. The role of the FP is well established in the community and this clinic. This position will work alongside a Nurse Practitioner. The Medical Clinic is supported and run by the Quadra Island Health Society. The QIHS supports the day-to-day running of the clinic and employs the office manager and MOAs.

Current FP patient panel is around 1,100.
Overheads are negotiated as an annual fixed sum, currently around 25%.
Current FP would be happy to provide regular sessional and locum cover, if needed.

Hours of work:
Flexible with option of 3-5 day per week coverage. No weekend or out-of-hours responsibility as covered by local paramedics.
Clinic is closed on weekends and Statutory holidays.
Ideally seeking Monday to Friday coverage with approx. 7.5hrs/day up to 224 days/year based on full time work, less for part time.

Benefits:
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), such as:
• Recruitment Incentive (pro-rated) $10,000
• Fee Premium 9.98%
• Annual Flat Fee $15,458.40
• Rural CME 2,200/annum for years 3-4 in community, increasing to a maximum of $4,400/annum after 4 years

Community Information:
An amazing and supportive community of approximately 3,000 people year-round, and a very popular tourist/seasonal destination. Quadra Island has an elementary school, a large community centre for cultural events, hiking/biking trails, climbing, fishing and golfing.
