6-Month+ Locum Opportunity in FHO/FHT Practice

A FHO/FHT practice on the Hamilton Mountain is seeking locum coverage for 1 day/week (or 4 days/month) starting October 2025, for at least 6 months.

The practice hours are 9:00-6:00 Monday-Thursday and 9:00-1:00PM on Fridays. With remote access available, part of the coverage can be done virtually, if desired. Should the locum be interested, there is option to additionally work on Saturdays for 4-6 hours between the hours of 10:00-4:00PM. 

This solo practice, part of a 25-member FHO and part of the Hamilton Family Health Team is supported by an on-site clinical pharmacist and social worker as well as by an off-site registered dietitian. The practice also has excellent support from a two part-time RPNs. The practice has well-staffed admin support for billing, booking and other admin functions. With a current roster of 2,000 well-managed patients, the locum can expect to see 20-24 patients per day.

The office has 4 exam rooms, an allied health room, private office space, a large lunchroom, kitchenette, separate staff and patient washrooms and free parking for both staff and patients. The office is co-located with a pharmacy that has its own counselling room. The practice uses Telus EMR, offers self-check in for patients and is moving to digital bookings through OCEAN.

The practice is located near the Lincoln Alexander Parkway for an easy commute from the 403 or Redhill Valley Parkway. The practice is located near many restaurants and amenities and a less than 15 minutes from the Juravinski hospital.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive daily stipend for the weekday shifts, with the option for additional income through FFS weekend work (keeping 90% billings), should they choose to do so.
