The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Regina Area, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled
Advanced Heart Failure Specialist to join our Cardiology team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for a complex heart failure population and will play a key role in the continued development of provincial cardiac care pathways.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, working alongside interventionalists, electrophysiologists, and cardiac surgeons. Responsibilities include:
Work in a specialized Heart Failure clinic with a focus on GDMT optimization.Clinical lead for advanced therapy assessments (Transplant/VAD coordination).Participation in the acute cardiology on-call rotation.Teaching and mentorship of medical students and residents from the University of Saskatchewan.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification with the
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Cardiology and be eligible for provisional or regular licensure from the
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
Sub-specialty fellowship training in
Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation is required.
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology in the Regina Area and will be appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
