Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA)-Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan (U of S), Department of Psychiatry, seek a full-time team-oriented Psychiatrist at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor to be part of our dynamic and expanding Department. The academic rank will be determined based on the candidates’ qualification and experience. The successful candidate will have a focus Consultative Liaison services. They will provide consultation and ongoing services for patients with a variety psychiatric and substance use disorders with comorbidities which will include being involved in Neuropsychiatry and Severe Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) clinics. The position provides opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic team of health professionals that include neurologist, internist, CL nurse, family medicine and psychiatric residents, and medical students, and protected time for clinical, administrative, and academic duties.
The Saskatoon Area with the Saskatchewan Health Authority has a Psychiatry Residency training program, which is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents with the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.
Call coverage provides for a balanced lifestyle as it is shared with all other Psychiatrists in the Department and is approximately once monthly.

Qualifications:
Candidates must hold certification with the
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to candidates with RCPSC designation in Psychiatry and training in CL. In addition, the successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
