Sensenbrenner Hospital is currently seeking Locum GP Anesthetists and Royal College–certified Anesthesiologists to join our supportive and collaborative medical team.

About Sensenbrenner Hospital

Sensenbrenner Hospital is a modern, fully accredited 68-bed teaching hospital serving a local population of approximately 8,600, with a broader catchment area of 11,000. Located in Kapuskasing, a vibrant Northern Ontario community, the area offers outstanding year-round outdoor recreation while still providing the amenities of larger urban centres.

Travel & Accommodations

• Accommodations and transportation are reimbursed through NSLP, in accordance with locum guidelines
• Fully furnished apartments may be available in a newly constructed building directly across from the hospital
• Locums typically fly into Timmins Airport (via Air Canada or Porter Airlines) followed by a 2-hour drive northwest to Kapuskasing

Medical Staff & Support

Our hospital fosters a strong, team-based environment with experienced and approachable colleagues, including:

• 3 General Surgeons
• 2 GP Anesthetists
• 1 General Internist (inpatient consults available)
• 8 Family Physicians, with 2 providing OB care

Our longstanding medical staff are highly supportive and readily available to assist locums throughout their shifts.

Clinical Services & Resources

Available onsite services include:

• Diagnostic imaging (including CT)
• Laboratory services
• Electrocardiography
• Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Respiratory Therapy
• Chemotherapy
• Virtual Critical Care for critically ill patients

Specialty services including Orthopaedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry are accessed through our partnership with Timmins and District Hospital. Additional tertiary care and specialty support are available via Health Sciences North and CritiCall Ontario.
