We are a FHO of 6 physicians, supported by a full-time PA and very experienced admin staff.

Very collegial group, lots of support for new grads

I am looking for a 6 month locum from April 27th to October 31st 2026 for my practice, which is currently around 925 patients - (it may grow slightly between now and May). Currently the practice is very well maintained, with a lot of young healthy families. 

Ideal coverage would be:

5x half days during the daytime in clinic per week (flexible schedule) - these are 3 hour half day blocks with 10-12 patients per block

1 in 6 Saturday urgent care clinic

2 in 3 Weeknight urgent care clinic

Inbasket coverage - this takes me approx 20-30 mins per day

Oscar Pro (WELL EMR) with well maintained charts

Our excellent physician assistant will be available to work with you 1 half day per week, this is extremely helpful for inbasket assistance, or help seeing patients that day

Remuneration

100% of the OHIP capitation/OHIP billings/WSIB billings (minus overhead)

100% Third-Party/Private Billing

FHO plus (due to start Spring 2026)

FHO plus 80 dollar/hour applicable to both clinical and non clinical hours (as per the new regulations)

FHO plus will also include increased shadow billing percentages (30% day time and 50% after hours)

NOTE: I am planning on claiming the OMA pregnancy leave benefit program – so I am offering 100% of what the practice is worth to the covering locum, and then you would be responsible for transferring the overhead. 

For the amount coverage I am asking for, the total monthly capitation alongside the FHO plus changes will be above a typical per diem locum rate
