Alberta Health Services (AHS), Edmonton Zone, invites applications for the role of Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (ACMIO) – Edmonton Zone.
This 0.40 FTE position is a key leadership role within the Chief Medical Information Office (CMIO) team. Reporting jointly to the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and the Edmonton Zone Medical Director, the ACMIO works in partnership with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to advance the integration of clinical informatics across the continuum of care.
As a trusted advisor and catalyst for change, the ACMIO champions the strategic adoption and optimization of Digital Health initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation to support high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-informed care. The ACMIO also plays a critical role in aligning clinical informatics initiatives with the broader organizational goals and the needs of the zone.
This role has an expected term of 3 years.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a well-established physician within the province who represents AHS for strategic information management initiatives, anticipates impacts on stakeholders, identifies issues, and helps to resolve problems. They will have demonstrated abilities in leadership, communication and have a passion for clinical improvement through informatics.
