Orthopedic Surgeon – Full-Time Opportunity Health Sciences North (HSN), Sudbury, ON
Health Sciences North (HSN) invites applications for a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team of eight experienced surgeons. We are seeking candidates passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, advancing medical education, and contributing to clinical research in orthopedics.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have experience in general orthopedic surgery, with subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery and pediatrics. Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in supporting community pediatrics, working closely with pediatric patients to address orthopedic concerns and promoting overall pediatric musculoskeletal health. A unique feature of this role is involvement in the North Eastern Joint Assessment Centre (NEJAC), which enhances preoperative assessments and patient outcomes through a team-based, evidence-informed approach. Locum opportunities may also be available.

Our Surgical Program is comprised of a diverse team of more than 75 surgeons, representing a wide range of specialties. The program is supported by an integrated team of anesthesiologists, internists, intensivists, perioperative nurses, and allied health professionals, all working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements:
- Eligibility for independent practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Canadian or US Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training Pediatric Orthopedics
- Fellowship training in Foot & Ankle surgery
- US-trained candidates welcome – HSN supports immigration and work permits
- Faculty appointment with NOSM-University
- Equal participation in Orthopedic Surgery on-call rotation (1 in 8)
