Members of the Department of Medicine enjoy an attractive remuneration and benefits package through the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services, Academic Medicine and Health Services Program.

Daily remuneration typically around $2,000 per day (varies based on patient volume).

Fee-for-Service; Relocation: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.

Fee-for-Service; Relocation assistance: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.

Alternative Payment Arrangement; relocation incentives: $15,000 (if relocating from outside of Canada), $12,000 (if relocating within Canada but outside of BC), $9,000 (if relocating within BC). Estimated Yearly Remuneration does not include Retention Premium and Flat Fees.

Clinical Service Contract aligned with Physician Master Agreement: full-scope placement $302,113–$377,641 (scaled to FTE), plus 30% Rural Retention Program Premium; other incentives may apply; no overhead contribution required.
