Kincardine Family Health Organization

Our Kincardine Family Health Organization (FHO) is currently welcoming Locums to join our team of rural doctors. The practice provides care for 14,000 patients in a large, modern FHO-based clinic located adjacent to the Kincardine hospital.  In addition to clinic work and inpatient care in our hospital, most physicians provide emergency department coverage.

Fully EMR integrated, with PS Suite, supportive administrative staff, fantastic nurses, and a wonderful team of physician colleagues and comprehensive Family Health Team. 

Located on the picturesque shore of Lake Huron, just three hours from Toronto.  Ontario’s west coast: our beach town features beautiful sand beaches, paddle boarding, surfing, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and biking. Thriving community with amazing restaurants and shopping.

Service Delivery

FHO clinic model with supportive in-house Family Health Team, clinic, ER shifts are 10 and 14 hours (8a-6p/6p-8a).

Lab, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, allied health professionals on site, and a CT scanner on the way.

We have excellent specialty back-up at our Level 2 regional referral center in Owen Sound with locally run cardiac program (LHSC cardiologists) and a variety of specialist clinics run in our hospital (SBGHC). Local on call general surgery available.

Compensation

FHO payment model with rural bonuses, competitive hourly rate (Alternate Funding Agreement) plus percentage of shadow billings for ER.
