The Department of Pediatrics invites applicants to apply for the Co-Director, Pediatric Transport Team role, Alberta Children’s Hospital.
This Medical Leader role is shared with another physician, both doing 0.10 FTE.
The role is critical in ensuring leadership for the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team and relationships with STARS, involving ultra-specialized patient care.
This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of medical/clinical care are provided for the safe transport of critically ill patients.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a Pediatric Emergency Physician with experience in pediatric transport and demonstrated abilities in communication, conflict resolution, analytics, strategic thinking/influence and a passion for quality and patient care.
Applicants must hold an Independent Practice Permit with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and hold an existing Medical Staff Appointment with Alberta Health Services and privileges at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Applicants must hold an MD and Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatrics or equivalent.
