The Department of Anesthesiology Perioperative and Pain Medicine, Alberta Health Services, Calgary, invites applications for the position of Pediatric Anesthesiologist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary Corridor. The starting date for this position will be on September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in all clinical areas in the delivery of pediatric anesthesia care in the operating room at Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH), pre-operative assessment clinic, acute pain service and out of OR anesthesia services. The call commitment will be consistent with 1.0 FTE section members of the ACH Section of Pediatric Anesthesia. The position includes an appointment as a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Calgary. The Department of Anesthesiology at the Alberta Children’s Hospital is passionate about what we do. Qualifications:
Applicants must have a MD or clinical equivalent with Anesthesia Specialization, FRCPC or recognized equivalent, and a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated leadership talent, the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, superior collaboration and communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering quality and innovative pediatric anesthesia care. The Section of Pediatric Anesthesia values candidates with additional expertise and proven background in both clinical and non-clinical areas of interest. The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English. |
