Job Description:
Greenstone Medical Centre is a community-based, physician-led primary care clinic in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We are seeking two full-time Family Physicians to join a growing practice focused on delivering comprehensive, longitudinal family medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Our clinic serves a diverse and expanding patient population, including families, newcomers, and patients with complex medical and social needs. The successful candidates will provide full-scope primary care across the lifespan, with an emphasis on continuity of care, preventive health, and chronic disease management.
Physicians will practice in a team-based model with access to Primary Care Network (PCN) supports and an integrated EMR system designed to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden. The clinic operates extended hours to enhance patient access while maintaining sustainable physician workloads
This position is a community-based role and is not part of Alberta Health Services.
Community-based Patient Medical Home-aligned practice
Longitudinal primary care with patient panel management
Combination of scheduled appointments and same-day access care
Physician-led clinic with collegial support and shared coverage during absences
Modern EMR with dictation tools and remote access for after-hours charting
Dedicated administrative and MOA support to optimize clinic flow
Opportunity to participate in clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives
The physician will enter into a formal written service agreement with Greenstone Medical Centre outlining the terms of engagement, including scope of services, scheduling expectations, overhead structure, use of clinic resources, and compliance with applicable CPSA and regulatory requirements. Physicians are expected to practice in accordance with the terms of this agreement and all professional standards.
Physicians are generally expected to work five days per week, with flexibility in scheduling discussed based on mutual needs.
Qualifications:
Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA. Licensed or eligible for licensure with CPSA
Eligible under CPSA Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) or other IMG pathways, where applicable
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to culturally sensitive, patient-centered care
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an asset
Willingness to practice under supervision or provisional registration until fully licensed, if required
