This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.

Job Description:

We are looking for a team member to join us to provide following services to our patients in the community.

We promise to provide full support to the joining physicians, as initial months in a new environment and country could sometimes be challenging. They will have our full backing and support at all times.

#1. Provide primary care services to individuals of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

#2 We have a heavy workload of patients with hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and mental health.
The joining physician should be comfortable with managing these issues and work in a collaborative fashion with the rest of the team including chronic disease management nurse and primary care network.

#3. Savanna Bazaar area is one of the fastest growing communities in Calgary. Most of the patient population consists of young new settlers. The physician should be with following antenatal and postnatal care as well as taking care of pediatric patients.

As per the CPSA's eligibility requirements guidelines. 

Community Information:

Savanna Bazaar Medical Center is established in the community of Savanna in NE Calgary. This is one of the fastest growing communities in Calgary, situated on Airport Trail and Metis Trail, Calgary. The Clinic itself is located in Savanna Bazaar, a commercial, social and cultural hub which caters to the communities of Savanna, Saddleridge, Taradale and Martindale with a combined population of approximately 40000 residents. Majority of the patients are of South Asian ethnicity. As this is a newly developing community, most of the patients are in the younger age group, which requires a lot of ante-natal, post-natal and pediatric services. Our Clinic provides all these services to this population as well as providing them with a medical home for all other medical care. The Clinic is in AHS local geographic area (LGA) of Upper NE Calgary.
