Job Description
The Department of Radiology is seeking locums to fill various schedule gaps.
The Timmins and District Hospital is a 225-bed district hospital serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario, and is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long Term Care, and Mental Health Services.
Details of Radiologist's work:
TADH's busy Imaging Department is equipped with a fluoroscopy suite, several ultrasound machines, a 320 slice Canon CT and a 1.5T Siemens MRI unit.
The department offers some minor non-vascular interventional services, which are assigned along with other diagnostic studies on a rotational basis. TADH radiologists practice in a true consultative manner with the referring physicians and communities. Remote reading from outside of Timmins is not part of our practice.
The Timmins and District Hospital supports approximately 95,000 annual diagnostic exams.
Remuneration is as per HFO Guidelines for the Northern Specialist Locum Program.
Your traveling expenses of airfare and/or mileage, local car rental, accommodations as well as a travel stipend will be covered.
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada FRFCPC certification in Diagnostic Imaging.
- have Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage.
- have an independent practice license with the CPSO.
- have an active OHIP billing number.
- possess excellent clinical skills.
- have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
** Approval based on successful credentialing for medical staff privileges.
