Otolaryngologist– Full-Time
Join our team in beautiful Northern Ontario!
The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) is seeking a full-time Otolaryngologist to join our innovative, multi-disciplinary referral and teaching hospital in Timmins.
The Department of Surgery at the Timmins and District Hospital is looking for a second full-time Otolaryngologist. The successful candidate will enjoy a full breath practice, both adult and pediatric, with equitable operating room time and reasonable call expectations.
There is also an opportunity to teach and mentor medical students and family medicine residents, through affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
You will be joining a team that provides exceptional patient and family-driven care, in a supportive trauma-informed, and culturally safe manner. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join us in our Mission: Providing Exemplary Care to Northerners.
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- have (or be eligible for) Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Otolaryngology
- be (or eligible to be) licensed to practice as an Otolaryngologist in the Province of Ontario
- have (or be be eligible to obtain) Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage
- have excellent clinical and surgical skills
- have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care
Remuneration
The clinician operates on a combination of Fee-for-Service, a lucrative Northern Specialist Alternate Payment Plan, and a HOCC On-Call stipend.
Incentives
- The Timmins and District Hospital provides an incentive package up to $60,000 over four years.
- Applicants are eligible for a repayable interest-free loan up to $150,000.
- Applicants can apply for the Ministry of Health Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (N3R). The N3R Initiative includes an $84,718 incentive over a 4-year period for Canadian citizens and permanent residents who establish a full-time practice in Timmins.
