Job Description
South Bruce Grey Health Centre
South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) is a dynamic, multi-site health care organization serving four rural communities in southern Grey and Bruce Counties. SBGHC serves a community of approximately 44,000 people, plus 10,000 seasonal residents and 30,000 tourists across four hospital sites located in Kincardine, Chesley, Durham and Walkerton. Our staff of close to 400 people provide high quality care in a friendly and safe environment.
Our hospital in Kincardine provides care for 14,000 patients, has 22 beds and is located south of our Level 2 regional referral centre in Owen Sound.
Service Delivery
ER shifts are 10 and 14 hours (8a-6p/6p-8a), and clinic is next to the hospital. Average of 40 patients in a day shift and 25 during a night shift.
Lab, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, allied health professionals on site, and a CT scanner.
Powerchart and PACS with written orders. Lab in house from 6am-11pm, and on call through the night. Diagnostic imaging in house during the day and on call through the night. Strong primary care presence locally with 10 family physicians in town with local back-up available for critical cases and transfers.
We have excellent specialty back-up at our Level 2 regional referral center in Owen Sound with locally run cardiac program (LHSC cardiologists) and a variety of specialist clinics run in our hospital (SBGHC). On call general surgery available.
Supported by a dedicated team of physicians and nurses.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate (Alternate Funding Agreement) plus percentage of shadow billings.
Support
Physicians committing to full time Emergency Room work in Kincardine will receive an incentive package from the Municipality. Clinic work is an asset.
