Overview

We are seeking dedicated Family Physicians to join our team at iCare Medical Clinic in London, Ontario. As a Family Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, managing a wide range of medical conditions, and supporting the health and well-being of our community. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, utilizing your expertise in medical terminology, patient care, acute care, pain management, pediatrics, medication administration, and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• Examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Participate in health care policy and planning.
• Advise patients on health care.
• Report births, deaths, contagious, and other diseases to government authorities.
• Act as the patient advocate.
• Coordinate or manage primary patient care.
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
• Diagnose patients' diseases and disorders.
• Supervise 3-4 team members.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in medicine

Experience

• Experience is an asset.

Languages

• English (French not required).

Credentials

• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
