Our client is Canada’s largest provider of interventional pain management, operating a network of modern, multidisciplinary clinics across Ontario. Their mission is to deliver timely, personalized care for individuals living with chronic pain through innovation, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
With clinics locations across Ontario: Brampton, Hamilton, London, Mississauga, Oshawa, Ottawa, Scarborough, Toronto, Oakville they are expanding access to high-quality pain care and are seeking specialists to join their team as Assessment Physicians.
Role Overview
As an Assessment Physician, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing chronic pain and play an essential role in developing individualized treatment plans. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will help improve patients’ quality of life while contributing to innovative approaches in pain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and follow-up assessments of patients with chronic pain.
- Review patient histories, diagnostics, and reported symptoms to determine underlying causes.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with interventional physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals.
- Educate patients on pain management strategies and self-care.
- Maintain thorough medical documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
- Engage in professional development and training in the field of pain care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Postgraduate specialist training & certification.
- Valid license (or eligibility) to practice medicine in Ontario.
- Open to change of scope of practice into pain management.
- Previous experience in chronic disease management or related fields is an asset (training provided).
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
Compensation / Overhead
Tiered fee-for-service model. Physicians retain a split ranging from 65- 73%
