The Clinton Family Health Team (FHT) is recruiting a Full or Part Time Family Physician to join the team!

About the Clinton FHT:

The Clinton FHT is a group of 6 physicians co-located in a group medical centre in Clinton, ON. As part of a Family Health Team, you will work alongside a variety of healthcare professionals including; NPs, RNs, RPNs, a dietician, mental health worker, social worker and administrative staff. 

This is a turn key office with electronic medical records (Practice Solutions).  There is opportunity to build a practice to your preferred size, as there are many patients in the community/region without access to primary care.

In addition to clinic work, physicians have opportunity to provide hospitalist and/or emergency department coverage at Clinton Public Hospital.  Hospitalist weeks are flexible and are scheduled Fri-Fri 0800-0800 and paid at a rate of $1400/day.  Emergency department coverage would be 24 hrs or can be split if preferred and paid via an AFA at a rate of $175-$190/hr.

Physicians providing full time comprehensive care are eligible for financial support through the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Program (NRRR) in the amount of $89,899.  New physicians receive generous financial support through the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation to support relocation and start up costs.  Physicians practicing in Clinton are eligible for locum support through the Rural Family Medicine Locum Program.

About Clinton Public Hospital & the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance:

Clinton Public Hospital is a 21 bed hospital with a mix of medicine and complex continuing care beds.  The emergency department operates daily from 0800-2000.  The hospital offers specialty consultative services in Internal Medicine and General Surgery and is home to Alliance's cataract centre, which includes two operating rooms.

Stratford General Hospital is the regional referral centre and located 45 mins SE of Clinton.  The hospital is a 120 bed facility offering a full range of medical and diagnostic services including CT, MRI and 24 hour laboratory, diagnostic imaging and respiratory therapy services.  Also offered are specialty services in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ENT, Orthopedic and General Surgery, Anesthesia, Psychiatry, including Child & Adolescent, OB/GYN, Paediatrics, Plastics, Ophthalmology and Urology.
