The Saskatchewan Health Authority in the Southeastern Area invites applications for the position of family physician in a rural family medicine practice in the town of Radville, Saskatchewan.This physician will work within a multi-disciplinary team in providing primary health care services to the community of Radville and area and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals in the community of Bengough to support the acute care and emergency services for the area. This practice offers a full range of services, which would include admitting privileges and access to the health region’s primary health care resources such as home care, mental health and addictions, chronic disease management, public health, etc. Acute care referral services are available in the city of <a href=https://www.regina.ca/residents/index.htm>Regina</a> which is approximately 90 minutes away.

Qualifications:

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification.In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Family Medicine in the Regina Area.The start date for this position is negotiable.
