Fee-For-Service Split

Contract; salary range $391,236–$452,949; eligible for Rural Physician Incentive Program (RPIP) up to $200,000; $15,000 return-for-service incentive (3-year RFS).

Salary $391,237.00 – $452,949.00. Additional compensation: ERCP Stipend and Comprehensive Care Bonus. Eligible for Rural Physician Incentive Program (up to $200,000). Recruitment/relocation incentive $15,000 for 3 years return of service.

Rate: $2,453/day plus ERCP (prorated for partial 24-hour shifts). Listed range: $2,000.00 - $2,453.00. Accommodations provided. Mileage: $0.51/km (1 return trip per locum assignment). Travel time: $20/hour (1 return trip per locum assignment).

Independent fee-for-service; eligible for an on-call retainer through the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program; relocation package of $25,000 for new Ophthalmologists (3-year return of service).

Competitive independent contract (Contract)

Competitive remuneration via an Alternate Payment Plan (APP); physicians are independent contractors with opportunity for incorporation. Eligible for Emergency Medicine Recruitment and Retention Incentive of up to $200,000; eligible residents (PGY4/5) may receive a $30,000 resident bursary.

$507,807.00 – $579,394.00 (contract). Competitive contract value plus an on‑call stipend through the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program. Eligible for Pediatric Gastroenterology Recruitment and Retention Incentive of up to $200,000 and an additional $30,000 Priority Specialist Recruitment incentive.

Salary: $500,871.00 (contract). Call remuneration paid separately through the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP). Relocation: $25,000 stipend (non-repayable upon fulfillment of 3-year return-of-service). $30,000 Specialist Grant through the Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA).

Eligible for the Rural Physician Incentive Program (RPIP) of up to $200,000; compensation per Primary Health Care contract.

Salary range $397,391 to $512,838 (plus benefits). Additional incentives and relocation packages available.

Fee for Service On Call Stipend - Physicians are remunerated for being on call. Multiple Alberta Medical Association (AMA) Compensation Programs, including the Rural Remote Northern Program (RRNP), which provides a variable fee premium for Barrhead of 6.46% for insured services provided in this community.
