Job Description
Groves Memorial Community Hospital is looking for FP-Anesthesia maternity leave coverage starting in January 2027. The new 50-bed hospital is situated between Elora and Fergus, two charming riverside communities known for its unique 19th century limestone architecture, filled with unique boutiques, eateries, and galleries.
The FP-A scope of practice includes General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Dental (Pediatric), Endoscopy, Labour & Delivery and on call coverage at Groves. Call coverage is currently 1 in 6. Fee for service (and HOCC funding, when on call). There is also an opportunity to provide anesthesia in Mount Forest and Palmerston, which includes General Surgery, Gynecology, Dental, Orthopedics, ENT, and Urology. Additional opportunities exist for involvement in Anesthesia Pre-op Clinic, Block Room, and PICC insertions as well as the potential to combine the FP-A position with ER, Hospitalist or Family Medicine.
