Carson Medical Clinic is seeking a passionate and community-minded Family Physician to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. This is an excellent full-time opportunity to establish or relocate your practice within a collaborative, team-based primary care environment serving the Ottawa region.

Carson Medical Clinic is a newly renovated medical centre located on Montreal Road in Ottawa, offering state-of-the-art medical equipment, the OSCAR Pro EMR, 17 examination rooms, and a private office for physicians. The team includes 4 Registered Nurses and 4 administrative assistants, including a dedicated Billing Clerk. Free parking is available for patients.

Candidates will be required to accept the terms of a Family Health Group (FHG), including one evening clinic per week. The group currently has 5 family physicians and is looking to welcome one more. The team is known for its excellent interpersonal relationships.

The centre also hosts other specialists, including an obstetrician-gynecologist, a women’s health clinician, a pediatrician, and a sports medicine specialist. A pharmacy and physiotherapy services are also available on site.

Carson Medical Clinic has enjoyed a strong reputation for more than 26 years thanks to the quality of care it provides. The site is accredited by the University of Ottawa’s Department of Family Medicine for teaching and supervision.

While maintaining full clinical autonomy, you will benefit from operational support; including staffing, scheduling, and facilities — provided through a centralized office management structure. This reduces your administrative burden and allows you to focus on delivering high-quality care. You will have access to modern facilities, EMR systems, and comprehensive practice support, with full-time availability expected Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, longitudinal primary care to a rostered patient population, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care.
• Perform complete medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based care plans.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR (OSCAR Pro).
• Participate, if interested, in community outreach activities.
• Uphold high standards of medical ethics, professionalism, and cultural competence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Medical degree with certification in Family Medicine.
• Active, independent registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Open to both new graduates and experienced physicians. We are primarily seeking the right fit for our team and community.
