The community of Estevan, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and professional family physician to join the health care team. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to the community of Estevan and surrounding area, and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services in the area.
St. Joseph's Hospital, located in Estevan, is a fully accredited district hospital which provides the following services: Acute Care, Obstetrics Ward, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Dialysis Ward, full diagnostics including Laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound & CT Services.
The
Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. Qualifications:
Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Recommended - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP Valid driver's license Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector Current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage Legal entitlement to work in Canada

Call Schedule:
24-hour on-call coverage is required for hospital inpatients, home care and long-term care residents, as well as for critical lab values. Currently, the on-call responsibilities are shared equitably among physicians in the community.
