Family Physician – Locum

The Sharbot Lake Family Health Team is composed of an interdisciplinary team of:

• Physicians,
• Nurse Practitioner,
• Psychiatrist,
• Nurses,
• Certified Diabetes Educators,
• Dietitian,
• Occupational Therapist,
• Respiratory Therapist,
• Health Promoter,
• Manager of Operations,
• Program Manager,
• and Administrative/Support staff.

Together we provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to residents in the communities of Central Frontenac, as well as, portions of North and South Frontenac.

Being affiliated with a Family Health Team (FHT) and belonging to the Tay River FHO are some of the many benefits to becoming part of our team. This relationship allows for an indirect relationship with the physicians treating our patients in the Perth Hospital and Emergency Department.

Our clinic has been around since the 1970’s. We provide management of both acute and chronic conditions, as well as minor emergency care for a roster of approximately 3000 patients. Sharbot Lake is located approximately 1 hour North of Kingston, 1.5 hours Southwest of Ottawa, and 3 hours East of Toronto.

This is an opportunity for a new graduate or established physician to provide meaningful care to a rural community. We are an enthusiastic and exceptional team who are dedicated to prioritizing patient-centred care.
