Job Description
The Department of Surgical Services at Quinte Health is seeking a Fellowship Trained Glaucoma Specialist OR a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join the Division of Ophthalmology to provide patient services to the Quinte region.
Quinte Health will have OR time available for the Ophthalmologist that is recruited.
Full participation in the on-call schedule is a requirement of the position.
The operating room at Quinte Health is equipped for ophthalmic surgery and is located at Trenton Memorial Hospital. In addition, the hospital is also equipped with a YAG/SLT laser, retinal pattern scan laser, B-scan ultrasound, and a minor procedure room.
Eligible applicants will hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Ophthalmology and are eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

The team of 2,600 staff and physicians provide care through four emergency departments, operating rooms at three hospitals, a rehabilitation day hospital, ambulatory care clinics, and a range of diagnostic services. In addition, Quinte Health is proud to operate the Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre, community mental health programs, and to be a member of the Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team.
