Walkerton FHO Position – Brockton & Area Family Health Organization (Family Physician)

We are recruiting for family physicians for the Brockton & Area Family Health Organization. A small (approx 300 patient) practice is available, as well as a larger 2000 patient practice. Both have been well maintained by long term locums. There is plenty of population growth in the area, allowing the practice to be easily built as desired. EMR is PS Suites on Apple computers. The FHO is associated with the Brockton & Area and Family Health Team, with all allied health professionals just down the hall in a shared clinic space.

The clinic is located within the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Hospital (Walkerton site) providing a variety of opportunities for a general practice. This includes inpatient care in a 15 bed hospital, with visiting internal medicine support weekly. There is a strong need for GP-anesthesia, GP-obstetrics (450 deliveries per year), and emergency care. Other opportunities include surgical assisting, palliative care, and LTC. You can build your practice the way you would like!

Locums are also available (both short and long term) to experience the clinic and the surrounding area. Walkerton (within the Municipality of Brockton) has a population of 10,000 people and is in a beautiful area of Bruce County along the Saugeen River. It is just a short drive to Lake Huron and to major urban centers.
