The successful candidate will participate in a shared, equitable model of care that includes:
- In-house obstetrical call coverage
- Gynecologic surgical services
- Shared access to operating room resources and departmental support
Remuneration is fee-for-service. The start date is Spring 2027.
About Queensway Carleton Hospital
Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH) is a 337-bed acute care hospital and the only full-service hospital serving west Ottawa. QCH provides care to nearly 500,000 patients annually and serves as the secondary referral centre for the Ottawa Valley. The hospital is an active teaching partner of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and is recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and patient-centred care.
QCH offers comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine, as well as a broad range of specialty and subspecialty services. The hospital is supported by a strong multidisciplinary team, including consultants in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Hematology, Neurology, Respirology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Geriatric Medicine, and Palliative Care.
The hospital also features a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), step-down care services, and a 24/7 Rapid Response Team to support the acute care needs of hospitalized patients.
