Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a skilled Full-time Respirologist to join our growing Department of Medicine. 

CMH has recently completed a major Capital Redevelopment Plan, resulting in significant expansion of clinical services and state-of-the-art facilities. As part of this redevelopment, our Division of Respirology is expanding to meet increasing community needs.

We currently have two respirologists, both practicing general respirology, with one offering specialized sleep medicine services. We are recruiting a general respirologist, and candidates with additional expertise or interest in Critical Care will be strongly considered. Opportunities to participate in General Internal Medicine are also available for interested applicants.

Available resources include:

·        Bronchoscopy

·        Pulmonary Function Testing

·        Spirometry

·        Equal access to all departmental services

Qualifications

·        Licensed, or eligible for licensure, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

·        Certification, or eligibility for certification, in Internal Medicine and Respirology through the Royal College of physicians and Surgeons of Canada

On-call responsibilities will primarily involve respirology, with optional opportunities in General Medicine and ICU depending on interest and expertise.

As an affiliated teaching site with the Waterloo Campus of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University, there are opportunities to engage with medical learners at various levels, including medical students and residents.

Our 217-bed community hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic laboratory and imaging support services. Featuring brand-new facilities in Emergency, Critical Care, Inpatient Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Mental Health. We are a busy, well-supported hospital with strong medical and surgical subspecialty coverage, intensivists and neurology.
