Lakeridge Health is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to join our growing, high-impact team. The Opportunity

We are recruiting 2 physicians to support our Division of General Internal Medicine at our Oshawa site.

The role may include:

  • Clinical care (Most responsible  / admitting physician) on busy telemetry ward, inpatient consultative services to Emergency department and Surgical wards and participate in established on-site ambulatory clinic 
  • Collaboration within a multi-site, interprofessional care environment
  • Participation in quality improvement, program development, and system transformation
  • Teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and other learners
  • Opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and academic engagement over time

Qualifications

Required

Applicants must:

  • Hold, or be eligible for licensure, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), including eligibility for an Independent Practice Certificate or a Restricted/Provisional certificate as applicable.
  • Be certified, or eligible for certification, in General Internal Medicine
  • Be eligible for hospital privileges at Lakeridge Health
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, patient-centred, and equitable care
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment

 

Support for Internationally Trained Physicians

Lakeridge Health welcomes applications from internationally trained physicians who meet, or are eligible to meet, Ontario licensure and certification requirements for independent practice.

Candidates must possess valid authorization to work in Canada, including Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid Canadian work permit.
