Patient Volume

Responsible for MRP in a 6-bed ICU closed unit. On-call 24 hours. Perhaps may be asked for a consult on ward. WPSHC has a total of 70 beds.

Travel Allowance

Physician must be registered with HealthForce Ontario. The HFO website under NSLP (Northern Specialist Locum Program) lists the expenses that are reimbursed for a respite locum.

Accommodation Provided

Physician must be registered with HealthForce Ontario. 

Call Arrangements

24 hours on-call.

Compensation Details

$2000.00 per day minus billings. For example, if physician bills in excess of $2000.00 per day than physician does not receive stipend. If physician bills less than $2000.00 per day physician gives WPSHC an invoice indicating the daily amount billed to OHIP and WPSHC will top up that amount to a maximum of $2000.00 per day.
