Job Description
Alberta Health Services is currently recruiting for the Hospitalist team at Chinook Regional Hospital. We are looking for physicians who pride themself with excellent patient centered care throughout the continuum of care. As part of the team, you will be responsible for ordering treatments, tests, and consulting with specialty physicians and primary care physicians where appropriate. Advocacy at the patient and system level will be a key part of this role.
We are looking for physicians who have a strong interest in developing a permanent acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter-professional team, including other physicians, nurses, and allied health staff. Chinook Regional Hospital is a busy regional hospital which serves a large catchment of patients from surrounding rural areas.
The successful candidate must be:
- registered or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- have recent experience in the described role
- excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- ability to collaborate in a team setting
- participate and contribute to quality improvement activities
