The Department of Medicine is seeking a Geriatrician to service both sites, who would have access to available resources in the Geriatric Clinic located at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. The successful candidate will be working with a strong, supportive, and collegial group of colleagues in a two-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services.
Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to work within interdisciplinary teams.
Skills – Abilities – Experience
- Provide timely assessments of hospital geriatric consults at both Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital
- and Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.
- Provide an equal share of weekend call coverage.
- Support outpatient geriatric referrals from the Emergency Departments.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member within a group environment.
- Proven attendance record.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.

- Contributes to patient and staff safety.
Education – Certification – License
- Medical degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) required.
- Post Graduate training in Geriatrics.
- Certification in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCSC).
- Canadian Medical Protection Association or equivalent in good standing
