Job Description
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, invites applications for a full-time academic Gynecologic Oncologist position. The successful candidate will join the staff at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. The position is available starting 1 February 2026; the start date can be negotiated. Gynecologic oncology at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre is integrated in a multi-disciplinary group including medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and radiology. This group is one of the largest of its kind in Canada providing comprehensive care to women with gynecologic malignancies.
This is a full-time faculty position, in the academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will have training and experience in gynecologic oncology and is expected to engage in teaching all levels of learners, including medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. The successful candidate will have subspecialty training beyond residency, with experience and decision-making skills in providing systemic therapy and expertise in the surgical management of patients with pre-invasive disease and gynecologic cancers (including minimally invasive approaches). The candidate will be expected to participate in all relevant departmental and divisional administrative and educational activities. This full-time faculty position is for a period of three years, renewable. Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.
