ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
NL Health Services – Eastern Urban Zone invites applications from physicians to join the Hematology Division of the Medicine Program as a Locum Clinical Associate for the period of September 1, 2026 to January 4, 2027 in the greater St. John's metro region.
The successful candidate will work on the inpatient service in Hematology, covering medical issues and management of patients on the Hematology inpatient service. There may be an opportunity for expansion to outpatient work within the Hematology Division as the division grows.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide inpatient medical coverage and patient management on the Hematology inpatient service
- Work collaboratively with the Hematology team and broader interdisciplinary Medicine Program
- Expand to outpatient Hematology services as the division grows where applicable
- Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION
