FHO MATERNITY LEAVE LOCUM IN OAKVILLE +/ LOW RISK OB AT OAKVILLE HOSPITAL

Seeking maternity leave coverage for 3- 3.5 days per week

Evening AHC clinic duties on a weeknight M-F approximately 1-2x a month (flexible scheduling) from 5-7:30pm

Location: Trafalgar medical clinic. 1235 Trafalgar road, Oakville, ON

Start date: Mid-End of April 2025

Duration: 10-12 months ideally

Roster size: ~ 1100

Demographics: all ages and stages, mix of babies, young families and elderly patients

• I work in a truly wonderful FHO clinic - 10 other physicians (many who have been in practice for decades), ALL very collegial and open to case discussion or questions.

• Very spacious and comfortable clinic with 2 exam rooms and a private office for each physician in the clinic.

• Fantastic clinic manager and support staff. Full time billing support, dedicated referrals manager.

• Team assistants load and prep rooms and do vitals/ht/wt/BMI etc.

• Nurses do injections, suture removals, ear syringing, dressing changes, can call patients re: results or triage issues etc. The practice and clinic are very efficient.

• Newly renovated clinic located in a medical building with Specialists, GAM Diagnostic Imaging, Lifelabs and a Pharmacy.

• EMR is Practice Solutions.

LOW RISK OB COMPONENT (if desired)

• I provide low-risk obstetrics but there is no expectation that my locum will cover OB.
• Call is ~3-4, 24 hr shifts per month. Hard call with 10 other physicians. Very collegial group. Scope includes deliveries, routine newborn care and C/S assist. Fantastic and supportive environment for a new grad with great OB and Peds support
• I also participate in a shared prenatal clinic with three excellent colleagues twice per month, and there would be an option to cover these prenatal clinic sessions.
