Job Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Timmins and District Hospital is urgently seeking a locum to cover on-call duties from November 3, 2025 at 7:00am to November 8, 2024 at 7:00am.
The Timmins and District Hospital is a 214-bed district hospital serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario, and is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long Term Care, and Mental Health Services. We have a Level II nursery with total yearly deliveries of 700. 24/7 access to an on-call pediatrician.
Applicants must hold Canadian Citizenship and must be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be eligible for a full independent medical license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Supported by the Northern Specialist Locum Program (NSLP), through Health Force Ontario. Includes: Daily honorarium, travel honorarium, and sessional rates. Flight, hotel, and car rental expenses are also reimbursed though NSLP.
