NEWBORN CARE

Brockville General Hospital through its partnership with the Department of Pediatrics, Queen's University in Kingston, is currently seeking locum support for newborn care at Brockville General Hospital.

Newborn Care: Practice Profile / Job Duties

* Community-based consultative practice; provision of consultative support to the Emergency Department and Women and Children’s Health Team

* Newborn care: Rounding on well newborns and NRP

* On Call coverage for NRP only is 08:00 – 08:00 hours daily

* English language

* Women and Children’s Health Care Team is currently comprised of Pediatricians (2); a General Practitioner who practices pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology; Obstetrician/Gynecologists (3), Family Physicians, Midwives, Nurses, and Social Workers

* 300 deliveries annually

Remuneration

* 1,200 per day plus Hospital On Call Coverage (HOCC)  for weekends and statutory holidays or  >$10,000 per week

* Paid accommodation for multi week commitment

Qualifications

* Independent Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

* Newborn Resuscitation Certificate.
